GEOGRAPHY AND WAR

I disagree with the ideas developed in the text, because I honestly think that a war can be started by any reason and not always geography is important. Throughout the centuries, we have seen that war is usually caused by countries with different ideals, ways of living, economical issues, religion, cultures, etc. Moreover, when these countries decide to fight for what they think is fair they do not take into account geography and start a war wherever and whenever they want. I may be wrong but we know about battles that have been set on places where is somewhat difficult to fight, and most of the soldiers and the people around have died because of the weather, high or low temperatures, sand storms, etc. However, I think that nowadays the military have thought about the features of the battlefield before they go there to fight.

  1. Christine, I hope you're well
I think very similar to you and Gonzalo, throughout the history we've got lots of examples in which wars haven't be affected by geographical features or weather problems. As you said, if they want to attack, they are going to do it wherever the country is and whatever the weather is like.
Even though geography can be useful in a way, it is not something militaries are mainly aware of.
    Best regards :)

  2. I agree with you young lady. Geography it is not the main reason to star a war. Even though it is an important fact when somebody declares wars to anybody due to the fact each side must know where would be invading or attacking.
They can take advantage on the geography using certain camouflage.

But on my opinion, I totally disagree with war at any side in the world whatever be the problem.
